Cracked MacBook Screen: Repair or Replace?

A cracked MacBook screen is one of the most common repairs we see. Unlike many Windows laptops, the glass and LCD on modern MacBooks are bonded together, so a crack almost always means replacing the display panel or the full display assembly.

Signs you need a new screen

• Visible cracks or spider-web lines
• Coloured lines or black patches spreading over time
• Flickering or a “stage light” effect at the bottom of the screen
• The Mac runs (you can hear it or connect an external display) but the screen stays black
